Planning Application submitted for the development of the corner plot adjacent to the consented mixed use scheme on the former Highbridge Cattle Market site.

The proposal is for a mixed use two storey building with three storey elements protruding from a mansard styled roof. The parapet level is coordinated with the listed Highbridge Hotel building to help tie the new developments together and present a unified scheme.

370m² commercial accommodation is provided at ground floor level, together with a mix of one and two bedroom dwelling flats at first and second floor level - creating a viable economic use for this derelict, brownfield site.

The Sedgemoor Core Strategy outlines the need for additional market and affordable homes, and this development will provide 7 market and 3 affordable units.
