Warehouse Refurbishment
Angus Meek Architects provided a full Architectural and Contract Administration service for the conversion of an existing B8 warehouse to provide 20,000 ft² of comfort cooled office accommodation.
The new open plan office areas are arranged around a central atrium lightwell and the internal fit out also included a new training room, cellular offices, kitchen areas, additional rest room accommodation and core facilities.
The construction work included both a new roof covering and external walls to achieve current thermal performance standards and new incoming electrical and water services.
The whole project was completed within 26 weeks and was undertaken while the client’s existing offices and call centre facility within the building remained full operational for the duration of the works.
During the course of the building contract Angus Meek Architects worked closely with the main contractor, Barnwood Construction, and their specialist sub-contractors to deliver the high standard of internal finishes and detailing required.
