MIKE TAYLOR - DIRECTOR
Mike Taylor BSc (Hons) MCIAT
Mike first joined the Practice in 2007 as a student, and more recently as Senior Chartered Architectural Technologist has taken a lead role in the industrial and commercial side of the business.
Mike’s positive outlook and communication with all members of the construction industry - from clients to consultants, authorities, site operatives and subcontractors - enables him to effectively coordinate the technical design process, from feasibility and planning through to construction.
Mike’s recent experience includes:
New research, development and production building for Spectrum Medical, a specialist provider of Clinical Information Systems and advanced Perfusion Management Systems. The development forms an extension to the existing Ashville Business Park, which also incorporates a separate warehouse with ancillary office and staff facilities also designed and delivered by Angus Meek Architects.
Development of 4 new commercial units comprising warehouse storage facilities with ancillary office and staff facilities for Virginia Hayward Ltd at the former Henstridge Airfield.
Ongoing work with Summerfield Developments to deliver a mix of commercial plots of varying uses and scales at the circa 40 acre Westpark 26 Business Park near Wellington, including warehouses, trade counter units and new generation facilities for McDonald’s, KFC and Costa.
A completed Phase 1 development of 20 speculative industrial starter units at Ashville Court, Methuen Park, Chippenham, with a second phase comprising a further 3 self-contained units recently gaining planning consent.
6 commercial blocks totalling circa 60,000 ft² of floor space, sub-divided into a total of 51 small units at Mercury Business Park near Exeter. The layout provides the opportunity to combine adjoining units and deliver a wide variety of building footprints.
Development of a circa 80,000sqft industrial building, providing flexible accommodation for employment usage at Gwent Europark, Magor.
Work with Molson Group for the extension and refurbishment of an existing industrial unit to provide additional ancillary office accommodation and upgraded staff facilities, together with the refurbishment of a derelict warehouse, utilising the existing steel frame to provide a new, increased capacity workshop.
