Angus Meek Architects is delighted to be working with Ashville on the recently submitted major planning application for the development of land north of Ashville Business Park, which aims to deliver up to 1,000 new jobs.
The hybrid application seeks:
Full planning permission for the erection of a new, purpose-built 100,000 ft² warehouse unit with ancillary offices and staff facilities for the global aerospace and defence company Safran, and
Outline planning permission for the expansion of the business park to provide a variety of commercial uses including industrial, storage, offices, food and recreational facilities incorporating the relocation of a day centre and sports and social club, provision of a mobility hub, and enhanced pedestrian / cycle links and landscaping.
The detailed application for the expansion of Safran aims to assist the well-established business to develop and link their existing premises with a new purpose-built warehouse and office facility in order to retain their business within the wider Staverton employment area for years to come.
The wider scheme will provide the local area with additional commercial and amenity space which it desperately needs, as well as enhancing economic growth within the area.
