Residential Development
Planning approval has been granted for the development of 3no. new 3-bed dwellings at Severn Crescent, Chepstow.
The proposal replaces an extant permission for 2no. detached dwellings, and closely matches the footprint and scale of the previous approval.
Many of the qualities of the design, such as the materiality, fenestration, proximity to boundaries and orientation that were accepted in the previous application have been retained.
However, by reducing the size of the dwellings and combining as a terrace of 3no. the proposed ridge height has been reduced by around 0.50m, helping to reduce the visual impact of the development with dwellings sizes more akin to their surroundings.
