New Sports Hall
This new build sports hall occupies a prominent site within the green belt at the edge of the City of Bath, a world heritage site, and the detailed design was undertaken in close consultation with the client and statutory authorities.
Angus Meek Architects secured the commission to provide detailed design services as Architect and Lead Consultant on behalf of the main contractor, ER Hemmings. The full contract works included a new external multi use games area in addition to the new sports hall and ancillary changing rooms and equipment stores.
The sports hall design includes high level translucent cladding panels that provide good quality natural lighting and the building uses an Eurban structural timber panel walling system.
