Residential Redevelopment
Angus Meek Architects secured planning approval for a development of 43 dwellings with associated garages and car parking, provision for public open space and landscaping.
The scheme occupies two areas within the southern part of the overall masterplan of this former hospital site, linked by an existing access road that forms the boundary to the woodland encompassing the northern site, which is proposed for development as a Care Village.
A set of bespoke house types was been created, and by varying the materials and detailed elements between each plot, unique and defined character areas have been established. These areas provide a memorable, contemporary aesthetic response to the rural and woodland setting.
The layout has been closely informed by the existing site arrangements to enable the reuse of this brownfield resource in a sensitive manner.
